Laura Newman is a Brooklyn-based painter who makes improvisational abstract paintings and works on paper.  She has been awarded fellowships from major institutions including the Guggenheim, the Rome Prize, the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the New York Foundation on the Arts. Residencies include The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and The American Academy in Rome. She has had solo exhibitions at James Fuentes, New York (online), Victoria Munroe Fine Arts, New York, The University of Connecticut, Storrs, and was included in group exhibitions at The American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York, 490 Atlantic Gallery, Brooklyn, Morgan Lehman Gallery, New York (online), Waterhouse and Dodd, New York, and The University of Indiana, Columbus, among many others. Her work has been discussed in The Brooklyn Rail, ArtCritical, The Drawer-Revue de Dessin, Artforum, The New York Times, and Bomb Magazine. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Newman was educated at Cooper Union, The California Institute of the Arts and The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She is a Professor of Art at Vassar College.

Pamela Helena Wilson recently moved to New York City where she currently lives and works. Her paintings and watercolors have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Solo exhibitions include Gallery Paule Anglim, San Franciso, and Monique Meloche Chicago. Among curated exhibitions are: To Bend the Ear of the Outer World, Gagosian, London, curated by Gary Garrels; The Unhomely: Phantom Scenes in a Global Society, International Biennial of Contemporary Art Seville, curated by Okwui Enwesor; The Shape of Color, Peter Blum Gallery, NYC: Particulate Matter, Mills College Art Museum, Oakland, Pacific Light: California Watercolor Refracted, 1907-2007, The Nordic Watercolor Museum, Skarhamn, Sweden; and Latent Images, Gallery Fucares, Madrid. Paintings and works on paper are included in the permanent collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; The Mac Arthur Foundation, Chicago, Il; San Francisco Civic Art Collection; The Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive; and The University of San Francisco – Mission Bay, Art Collection. She is the recipient of a 2009 Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation in Fine Arts.
